WOW!! What an Evening of Talent

As if the Blue Santa was not a great enough program, now we add Blue Idol and WOW.

Who needs the TV version of American Idol when we have such talent in the Alvin area.

More later but for now the Contestants were:

Amanda Johnson, Glynda and God's Little Voice, Meagan Pittman, Ashleigh Denham, The Next Edition, Steve Marsh, Matthew Guidry
Crystak Ann Luval, Jim and Josh Scott, Jesus Lovin' Biker Band, Crystal Robinson, Roger Byars, Fred Partin, Fred Dickens, Frank & Judy Scott, and Luis Ramirez.

What an amazing group of talent. There was a tie between Fred Dickens and Luis Ramirez for male vocalist. There was a tie breaker that ended in a tie.

Crystal Robinson was best Female vocalist. The Next Edition took the award for Group Singers.

Blue Santa is greatful to all of the particiants who let their talent shine.

One Day To Go Before Blue Santa Weekend

Just Friday to go before Blue Santa Idol. Then the next day is the Motorcycle Ride for 2007. There is a lot of activity and a few questions have been asked. So we decided to be a little interactive and answer those questions online. Also for a list of Blue Santa Items for sale at the Motorcycle Ride and Sundays Schedule Click Here.

Is the Motorcycle Ride Police Escorted?

Yes it is. From beginning to end the ride will have a Police Escort.

Is there a map of the route the Motorcycle Ride will take?

Here is a Map:

Here is the route written down:

From National Oak Park on Disney Drive, Left on Sealy.
Left on Gordon Street (Hwy 35 Business),
Left on 2403,
Left on 2917,
Right on 2004,
Right on 523,
Right on 1462,
Left on Gordon (Hwy 35 Business),
Right on Sidnor to National Oak Park.

Is the Motorcycle Ride really 68 miles long?

Well, it was. Due to concern for traffic patterns and the safety of the riders the route was modified to a mere 65 miles.

Got more general info questions about this weekend's great events? There is a lot of preparation to do, so email us at alvinbluesanta@yahoo.com and we will try to answer them before the start of The Alvin Blue Idol special on Saturday.

Can I register for the Motorcycle Ride on Sunday or do I have to pre-register? When is the deadline for Registering?

You can register on Sunday starting at 8:00 am Sunday, Seotember 16th, 2007 at the Ride. You can register pretty much right up to the ride, but there are only 500 Official Ride Pins, so to get one get there early to get a pin. We want everyone who wants to participate to be able to. (Thanks to Joseph for the email question)

Alvin Community College Radio Station 89.7 KACC-FM will be broadcasting from the Blue Santa Motorcycle Ride on Sunday. They did a great interview with Denise and of the Alvin Police Officer's Association.

Also scroll down to our previous posts to see out great sponsors and let them know how important their support is to you and to Alvin Blue Santa Program.
